The simple answer is no. Any benefits of strip mining, be it the revenue or production of jobs or whatever other positive outcomes there may be are completely shadowed by the extensive list of negative effects that strip mining has on the environment. Unless great deals of money are dedicated to the regeneration and reconstitution of the now diminished land to its original status, there is no possible win-win situation to strip mining. The damage created by this form of mining is vast and intense that no sum of money or services can be offered to offset the environmental impact these mines have.
